Insane girl alert! This anime is awesome. Its brilliant and clever and not at all what I was expecting. Yuno certainly gets my nomination for most insane girl in anime. On purposely so but she is very well written into her part. I have a thing with anime girls where I usually hate them or love them. I can’t stand girls who whine and flail uselessly. I don’t go for the ‘delicate flower’ type. I just want to slap them. Yuno is nothing like that. She just takes everything to the extremes. She is a terrifying girl and one I would never like to met in real life. Honestly, Yukiteru is more the weak one. The boy takes longer than I would have liked to get used to the horror he’s been put into. And eventually gets some kind of Stockholm syndrome. But hey up, what he is going up against it a fairly terrifying,.

So plot. Oh the plot. So Yukiteru ends up as the favourite in a battle royale survival game where the winner becomes the new god of time and space. Yukiteru is the first of twelve and a whole host of mad/twisted/insane characters. Trust no one. Sometimes Yuno paranoia, as extreme as it gets, is true. But near the end its just sad what happens. Nothing is quite what you expect and everyone seems to change sides about twenty times.

I have mixed feeling about the ending. Its a good ending. But I can’t help be feel Yuki’s been broken and forced into finally loving his mad girl. What happens to her is sad and what she went though was terrible. But that doesn’t mistake what she has done. Its twisted but almost what should happen after everything the two characters have been though together.

So this anime is platinum to me. Its a wonderfully horrifying story about love, death and every in between. About obsession and the lengths people will go to achieve their goals and be with the people they love. It has some excellent characters and is visually stunning. The anime is well anime and the colours suit the moods perfectly. So platinum to me.
