Weekly Challenge! Week One Summary.

So Silver Link.

Out of 16 anime series I have completed 7, started 2 and dropped 1.52603l

Gold: 1 Silver: 4 (+ 1) Bronze: 2 (+ 1) Stone: 1

The best of the animes I watched being Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya, being a stunning anime to watch and beautiful edition to the list of magical girl animes which exist. The worst being Chitose Gets You. For bad animation and clique story line. I might have been tempted to finish it but at 3 mins an episodes its too much effort to bother for a boring anime.

If there is one thing I expect from this studio is that the anime is moe. Lots of young girls with big eyes and soft angles. Many of their works look pretty similar, even stuff written by manga authors, though they are more like to have a slight tint of originality then the light novel adaptation. The exception being their first project Tayutama: Kiss on my Deity which is very well adapted from its material. It some ways their latest project, Yuri Kuma,  is a little more unique as well  with its long bodies and legs. All the 69203lother anime while moe do follow the same sorts of proportions.

However Yuri Kuma is made by a different director who has a very distant style and fashion. Beautiful and focuses more on Yuri relationships than boy x girl. Which is fine and actually suits which studios style in my opinion. Considering how most of this animes look at friendships between girls and the difference in bonds between girls and boys. Take Kokoro Connect for example. The first major issue they deal with is the fact one of the girls is scared of boys and the boy who likes her has noticed. At the same time secrets shared between girls and secrets shared between boys tend to be a little different.

This studio is not afraid of making animes with deep meanings in as well. Whether they be obvious or not. Statements about society, how we treat people and how we treat ourselves. How we hide away things and how damaging it can be to keep secerts and not trust anyone. How damaging it can be to trust the wrong person. While I love the effects and animation style of the anime, I do struggle with the comedy style. I find it13992l
very standard and not particularly well pulled off. I love the drama side of the series, the magic is done beautifully as well. But of the anime’s, the comedy is what I liked the least.

I look forward to watching more from this studio but I can’t help but feel the name is its rating. Silver. The productions are good. Fine. But at least to me, there has not been anything life changing in its titles. But maybe some day. Certainly Choas Head looks to be an interesting addition to its list.
